INDONESIA – WEEK 2 & 3

Labuan Bajo

After a day off, we hired a scooter to go and see the Cunca Wulang waterfalls, still with Sylvie and Benjamin. The ride itself, being on a small road going uphill, was quite enjoyable! When we arrived at the village, we had to pay for a guide. We knew about that, but what we didn’t know was how much: 100,000rps for 2 persons. We walked around 1h on a small path in the forest to reach the canyon. It was not an easy walk! We stayed there long enough to jump (well, Nicolas did) a few time off the cliff, and then headed back… under the rain (we are always ready for any change in the weather… but this day we were not).

INDONESIA – WEEK 1

Night in Denpasar airport

We arrived in Bali at 23h30 on Sunday and had a flight to Lombok the next day so to properly get started in Indonesia and save some money we decided to stay in the airport for the night. We found a bar called “Bintang bar” (which we had already heard about to be honest…) on the first floor of the international departures hall, which had nice sofas, so we asked the barman if we could stay and he said yes… one couple was already sleeping. After a cheeky Bintang (the local beer), we were up for a good and warm night (no air con in the hall!). When we woke up during the night every single sofa had someone sleeping on it! This airport is definitely one where you can spend a night (and more) as there is this welcoming bar (!) and free unlimited wifi. We spent a long day there, and finally got on our flight to Lombok in the afternoon.
